DrumPi2.1.1

Settings and stability
- Fixed disk-streaming issues that could interrupt audio playback.
- Fixed settings saves that could overwrite unrelated audio, Bluetooth, or engine options.
- Prevented automatic saves after an empty, incomplete, or failed settings load.
- Improved handling of simultaneous saves and changes from older browser sessions, preserving settings that were not edited.
Playing behavior
- Fixed repeated hits sometimes reducing the dampening of earlier hits. Successive hits now increase dampening consistently, including at low velocities.
- Refined hi-hat response.

Reduced audio-engine and browser CPU work, a more efficient reverb engine, and fixes for mixer issues.
Audio engine and performance
- Introduced a new reverb engine using SIMD vector processing to reduce CPU work.
- Reduced unnecessary sample and effects processing for muted channels and buses, and streamlined compressor metering. Multitrack recording still captures all source layers.
- Made live mixer meters more efficient while preserving their peak-hold display.
Mixer fixes
- Fixed old effect tails returning after unmuting a bus or loading another mix.
- Corrected EQ bypass handling and kept the reverb’s high-pass filter in sync with its bypass control.
- Fixed invalid channel access during master-effects processing and improved validation of mixer controls.
Platform updates

DrumPi2.0
A redesigned interface, sample disk streaming, and new tools for monitoring audio performance and system health.
Interface
- Redesigned the pads, mixer, settings, kits, mappings, effects, and log pages for phones, tablets, and larger screens.
- Reworked vertical and horizontal mixer strips with clearer faders, dB scales, values, and controls.
- Improved recorder controls and their placement across screen sizes.
- Unified navigation, panels, dialogs, buttons, selection states, and spacing.
- Improved kit presentation and browsing of long kit and sound lists.
Audio engine and performance
- Added sample disk streaming to reduce memory use with large kits. The beginning of each sample stays in RAM; the remainder streams from disk as needed.
- Added controls for streaming cache size, read-chunk size, and the portion of each sample kept in RAM.
- Disk streaming can be disabled to load samples entirely into RAM.
- Reduced CPU work by processing only active voices.
- Avoided redundant mixer reloads by tracking mixer revisions.
Monitoring and hardware
- Added live disk-streaming diagnostics in Audio Settings, including read and delivery peaks, underruns, and working-set cache pressure.
- Streaming settings can be applied directly from the interface. Applying changes automatically restarts the audio engine.
- Added a CPU maximum-speed option for additional audio-performance headroom.
- Added live power-supply monitoring, with warnings for low voltage and earlier low-voltage events during the current boot.
- Added support for the Digi-Pro I²S audio device.
MIDI and configuration
- MIDI controller profiles can be loaded from individual .ctrl.json files.
- Improved automatic migration of existing configurations to version 2, preserving controller mappings.

Changes
- Fixed random interface reloads and memory leaks.
- Wi-Fi selection now shows both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks and lets you choose which to connect to.
- Trial reminders now appear at startup. Selecting Evaluate postpones reminders for 30 minutes; otherwise, an audio beep plays after 60 seconds.
Updating requires DrumPi 0.9.8 or later. Older installations need a fresh SD card installation.
